Besides the great range of services offered by Waitui Marina, within
the building itself there are a great range of cruising related services
First, Liti is best known for the laundry service that she owns and operates
at the front of her building. She has hot water, of course, and she'll even iron your clothes if you are so inclined! |
Of course, there is the office of the world famous
Bebi Electronics. Besides being the shipping centre and retail outlet for those LED lights known through out
the Pacific, Bebi also repairs marine electronics as a service to visiting yachts. |
If you would like a bite to eat, the Vale ni Kana (literal translation is 'House of Food', think 'Mom's Eats')
restaurant has PLENTY going for it: The largest serves for the lowest cost in the Tropical South Pacific being a good place to start!
One of the newest tenents at Waitui Marina is
Rock'n Down Under, offering PADI training classes, diving, and snorkeling trips in Savusavu Bay and beyond.
They also have available for hire bicycles, snorkels, and diving gear, as well as tank filling if you don't have a
compressor on board. |
Helen runs the Vanua Levu office of Beachcomber Shipping, who is also the Savusavu agents for
Fiji Meats, who provide the finest quality frozen beef, as well as sausages, and other 'exotic' meat, such as turkeys,
on special order. She can also book you on a fun trip, a bus trip thru southern Vanua Levu, then the ferry over to
Taviuni island, if you'd like a break and leave the driving to someone else. |
Amelia (pronounced am'-ah-lee-ah) is a trained massuse in both European and Fijian massage
techniques, including hot stones. Having a bad back, she can get you from crippled to functional in a very
short period of time, trust me! |
And, lastly, there is the full service bar at the top of the stairs to smooth out the days
adventures! No reason why you can't lounge below in the shade of the awning on the picnic benches either! |
